At a meeting following the reunion, it was recommended that we get together on a more regular basis. The decision at that meeting was to hold bi-monthly dinners and invite everyone to attend. The first dinner was held on August 27, 2005 at Neenah's Restaurant in Guntersville and about twenty plus were in attendance. The pictures from that gathering may be viewed at the MCHS1965.com web site.

In July of 2005, the graduating class of 1965 held its 40th class reunion at the recreation center in Guntersville, AL. The event was scheduled for two days with an informal gathering on Friday for most of the day and a scheduled evening event. There were well over one hundred in attendance on Friday evening and everyone brought food. Everyone ate and had a great time catching up on the past years since high school.

On Saturday, there were several activities available and included:
  • Visitation of the old school buildings
  • Visitation to the Guntersville Museum
  • Ladies luncheon
  • Golfing
  • Boat trip around Guntersville Lake

The evening highlight was a Tina Turner impersonator who provided entertainment for about one hour of the event. On Saturday evening, there was at least 125 -150 in attendance and everyone polled had a great time.
